中国工程院院士、中国科学院城市环境研究所研究员、区域大气环境研究卓越创新中心首席科学家。中华人民共和国第十三届全国人民代表大会代表,京津冀协同发展专家咨询委员会委员。
1994年在日本东京大学获得博士学位,在日本、美国、加拿大留学和工作十余年。2001年底全职回国工作。回国后主要研究方向为环境催化和大气非均相化学,取得了柴油车排放污染控制、室内空气净化和大气灰霾成因及控制方面的系列成果。2004年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助。以第一完成人获2011年国家技术发明二等奖、2014年国家科技进步二等奖、2017年何梁何利基金科学与技术创新奖。发表《环境催化——原理及应用》专著一部;发表学术论文380余篇,总被引12000余次;获授权国内外发明专利40余项,其中多项已转让给企业实施应用。多次组织国际和双边会议,6次客座编辑Catalysis Today国际会议特刊。
培养博士研究生中4人获得中国科学院优秀博士论文奖励,7人获得中国科学院院长特别奖和优秀奖;2005、2006、2011、2014年获中国科学院优秀研究生指导教师奖、2006年获中国科学院优秀教师荣誉称号、2013年获中国科学院优秀导师奖。招生专业为环境科学与工程,欢迎具有良好的化学、化工、环境科学、环境工程等相关专业基础的学生报考。
